Welcome
Welcome
An 18.6 acre tract of natural woodland and park area was donated to the Town of Kershaw decades ago by the John Stevens family. Mrs. Stevens, active with the Garden Club is thought to have influenced the decision. With the addition of the Pavilion, grills and a kiddie pool, the park became a place for families to spend quality time together. With funding through both the Stevens and Springs Foundations, the Recreation Center and a community pool were added making Stevens Park a popular spot. Much time has passed and Stevens Park is beginning to show its age. The Kershaw Community Park Council is taking steps to make the park a destination that folks come from miles around to enjoy. Phase I - The Haile Gold Mine Playground, was completed in 2008, leaving Stevens Park with an attractive, accessible, safe playground. Phase II - The Master Plan - has the KCPC partnering with Clemson University and the Town of Kershaw. With new basketball courts, tennis courts, walking trails, gardens, outdoor theater, a fitness center, skate park and more, Stevens Park will have something for everyone. Please join us and help make this happen!
