The purpose and mission of the Kershaw Community Park Council (KCPC) is to upgrade and renovate Stevens Park so that all citizens of southern Lancaster County, and the citizens of the surrounding counties, can have a safe place to play, exercise, and enjoy educational opportunities within the beautiful park acreage. The park had historically been a hub of activity for outdoor recreation, exercise ,and fitness, but unfortunately in the past few decades, has fallen into disrepair. We believe that this project will bring great enrichment to the lives of countless individuals, families, and the entire community.

In 2020, the KCPC developed a professional plan using input from Landscape Architectural Design Services from Sullivan's Island, and architecture students from Clemson University to include additions and improvements that our citizens wanted to include in the park. Through grants, fundraisers, donations, and great hands of involvement by the general citizens, the KCPC has made many improvements.  We have developed partnerships with local businesses, clubs and organizations, and the schools, while also receiveing grants from local and state sources.  We have held fundraisers and received memorial gifts, and are working closely with the Town of Kershaw.

The KCPC does not manage and maintain the facilities at Stevens Park. To rent/reserve spaces, please contact the Town of Kershaw recreation department at 803-475-6065. See their page here.
